Rescue 1122 is a service provided by the government of Sindh in Pakistan. It is responsible for providing emergency medical services, fire fighting and rescue operations in the province of Sindh. The service was established in 2007 and is currently headed by Director General Dr. Rizwan Naseer.

The organization has its headquarters in Karachi and operates through a network of 36 districts across the province. Rescue 1122 employs over 4500 personnel who are trained to respond to all kinds of emergencies. The service also has a fleet of over 400 vehicles, including ambulances, fire engines and rescue boats.

Rescue 1122 History in Pakistan

Pakistan’s first emergency service was established in Rawalpindi in October, 2006. The service was later extended to Lahore and Karachi. In 2012, the government of Pakistan decided to establish a nationwide emergency service known as Rescue 1122.

The organization is responsible for providing emergency medical services, firefighting, and rescue operations across Pakistan. Rescue 1122 has played a vital role in Pakistani society, particularly during natural disasters such as the 2005 earthquake and 2010 floods. The organization has also been instrumental in reducing the number of road fatalities in Pakistan through its educational campaigns and rescue operations.

Over the past decade, Rescue 1122 has grown rapidly and now consists of over 12,000 personnel spread across all provinces of Pakistan. The organization provides an essential service to the people of Pakistan and will continue to do so for many years to come.
