The Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful and popular tourist destinations in Italy. The coastline, with its cliff-hugging towns and villages, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And while it may be tempting to spend your entire vacation lounging on a beach or sipping cocktails by the pool, there are plenty of other unique things to do in Amalfi Coast.

Here are just a few ideas: 1. Take a boat ride to Capri. This island off the coast of Amalfi is a must-see, with its dramatic cliffs, crystal clear waters and luxury hotels and shops.

You can take a day trip from Amalfi or stay overnight in one of the many quaint hotels on the island. 2. Visit the Emerald Grotto. This sea cave gets its name from the emerald green waters inside it, which are illuminated by sunlight that filters through an underwater opening.

You can take a boat tour to the grotto or swim there if you’re brave (and have a good guide)! 3. Hike up Mount Vesuvius. This active volcano is best known for causing the destruction of Pompeii, but it’s actually still alive and well!

You can hike to the crater rim for some incredible views (on a clear day, you can even see Naples), but be sure to wear appropriate shoes and bring plenty of water. 4. Go shopping in Positano. This picturesque town is famous for its boutique shops selling everything from handmade ceramics to designer fashion – perfect for souvenirs or treats for yourself!

There are also plenty of great restaurants here if you need refuel after all that shopping. 5.”Join” The Da Vinci Code movie set tour . If you’re a fan of Dan Brown’s novel (or even if you’re not), this tour takes you to some of the real-life locations used in Ron Howard’s film adaptation, including castles, monasteries and cathedrals .

Non Touristy Things to Do in Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Italy. However, there are plenty of non-touristy things to do in this beautiful area. Here are some ideas:

1. Visit the small town of Atrani. This charming town is often overlooked by tourists who flock to the more well-known Amalfi Coast towns. But Atrani is worth a visit for its quaint streets and lovely beach.

2. Take a boat trip from Amalfi to Positano or Capri. This is a great way to see the coastline from a different perspective and enjoy some time on the water. 3. Go hiking in the mountains behind the coast.

There are several trails of varying difficulty that offer stunning views of the coast below. 4.. Sample some local food and wine.

The Amalfi Coast is known for its delicious seafood, so be sure to try dishes like spaghetti alle vongole (spaghetti with clams) or zuppa di pesce (fish soup). And don’t forget about the limoncello!
