Rescue 1122 is a Pakistani emergency service providing ambulance, rescue and emergency medical services to the people of Punjab Province. It was founded in 2006 by Dr. Rizwan Naseer, who serves as its director general. The organization has over 12,000 employees and operates out of 1,222 centers across Punjab.

Rescue 1122’s work is based on the principles of humanity, solidarity and impartiality. It provides assistance to people in need regardless of their race, religion or political affiliation. The organization has been praised for its quick response times and professional services.

In 2010, it was named one of the world’s top 500 NGOs by Global Journal. Rescue 1122 has played a vital role in Pakistan’s relief efforts following natural disasters such as the 2005 earthquake and 2010 floods. It has also been involved in search and rescue operations for missing persons and providing medical care during emergencies such as terrorist attacks.

The success of Rescue 1122 is due in large part to the dedication of its founder, Dr. Rizwan Naseer. A native of Punjab province, Dr. Naseer studied medicine at King Edward Medical College before embarking on a career in emergency medicine. He later worked with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

In 2006, he established Rescue 1122 in response to the growing number of emergencies in Punjab province.
