But one name that often gets left out is Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who is the Cavs all-time leader in rebounds. Ilgauskas was drafted by the Cavs in 1996 and played his entire career in Cleveland, retiring in 2011.
In that time, he racked up a total of 5,904 rebounds, which is nearly 1,000 more than second place on the list (Anderson Varejao). Interestingly enough, Ilgauskas is also second on the Cavs all-time scoring list behind only LeBron James. So not only was he a great rebounder, but he could also put points on the board when needed.
Ilgauskas was inducted into the Cavaliers Hall of Fame in 2014 and his number 11 jersey was retired by the team in 2017. He will always be remembered as one of the greatest players in franchise history and it’s safe to say that his rebounding record will likely stand for many years to come.
