There are many places to visit while on the island of Bora Bora. Some popular tourist attractions include Matira Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in French Polynesia; Mount Otemanu, a volcanic peak that offers stunning views of the island and surrounding lagoon; and Coral Gardens, where visitors can snorkel or scuba dive among vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. Other popular activities on Bora Bora include kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and sailing.

Bora Bora is an island in the Society Islands archipelago of French Polynesia, an overseas collectivity of France in the Pacific Ocean. The island, located about 230 kilometres (140 mi) northwest of Papeete, is surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef. In the center of the island are the remnants of an extinct volcano rising to two peaks, Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu, the highest point at 727 metres (2,385 ft).
