Bulls Trade History

The Chicago Bulls have been one of the most successful teams in the NBA over the last 30 years. During that time, they have made some very important trades that have helped them build their championship teams. Here is a look at some of the most important trades in Chicago Bulls history.

In 1988, the Bulls traded for Scottie Pippen from the Seattle SuperSonics. Pippen went on to become one of the greatest players in franchise history and was a key member of six NBA Championship teams. In 1994, the Bulls traded for power forward Dennis Rodman from the San Antonio Spurs.

Rodman was a key part of two more championship teams and helped solidify the team’s defense during their second three-peat. In 2001, the Bulls traded Elton Brand to the Los Angeles Clippers for Tyson Chandler. Chandler became an All-Star with the Bulls and was a key player during their run to an NBA record 72 wins in 1996-97.

He was also a part of their 2005-06 team that reached the Eastern Conference Finals.

Utah Jazz Trade History

In 1986, the Jazz made one of the most lopsided trades in NBA history, sending fan favorite Adrian Dantley to the Detroit Pistons for Mark Aguirre. The trade was widely panned at the time and it only got worse when Aguirre turned out to be a bust in Utah. Dantley, on the other hand, went on to have two All-Star seasons in Detroit, averaging over 20 points per game both years.

The Jazz were never able to recover from this trade and it set them back for years. In recent years, the Jazz have been much more successful when it comes to trading players. In 2011, they traded Deron Williams to the New Jersey Nets for Derrick Favors and Devin Harris.

This trade turned out to be a win for the Jazz as Favors has developed into a very good player and Harris was later flipped for Trey Burke in another successful trade. The Jazz have also done well in trades involving draft picks. In 2013, they traded their 9th overall pick (which became Trey Burke) to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Shabazz Muhammad and Gorgui Dieng.

This looks like a great trade for the Jazz as Burke has not lived up to his draft position while Muhammad and Dieng have both been productive players for Utah.

Nets Trade History

The Brooklyn Nets have a long and storied trade history, dating back to their days as the New Jersey Nets. Some of the team’s most notable trades include acquiring Jason Kidd from the Dallas Mavericks in 2008, sending Deron Williams to the Utah Jazz in 2011, and trading for Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in 2013. In recent years, the Nets have been one of the most active teams in terms of trades, making several moves each season.

Some of their more notable trades include sending Thaddeus Young to the Indiana Pacers in 2016, acquiring D’Angelo Russell from the Los Angeles Lakers in 2017, and shipping out Jeremy Lin to the Atlanta Hawks in 2019.
