Babusar Top Road

The Babusar Top Road is one of the highest mountain roads in Pakistan, connecting the Kaghan Valley with Gilgit-Baltistan. The road reaches a height of 4,173 metres (13,691 ft) at Babusar Pass, making it one of the highest paved roads in Pakistan. The road is generally open from late May to early November, depending on snowfall.

It is closed during the winter due to heavy snowfall and avalanches. The road provides spectacular views of some of Pakistan’s highest mountains, including Nanga Parbat (8,126 metres or 26,660 ft), Rakaposhi (7,788 metres or 25,561 ft) and Diran (7,266 metres or 23,842 ft).

Babusar Top Weather

Babusar Top is one of the highest mountain passes in Pakistan, located in the Kaghan Valley. It connects the town of Naran with Babusar village. The pass is accessible by Jeep or on foot and is usually open from June to October.

The name Babusar means “father of all grasses” in local dialect, owing to the lush green meadows found at the top of the pass. Snowfall is common from December to February, so visitors should be prepared for cold weather if they plan to travel during this time.
